Hello, I have a "whats on", no real connection to SHARP but interesting all the same. Dr Stephen Upex is giving an illustrated talk "the romans in the East of England" at Highgate Hall in Elton nr, Peterborough on Thursday November 20th. 19.30 hrs, £5 at the door. His new book is reviewed in this months 'Current Archaeology'. This talk will focus on the Nene valley so perhaps not much for Norfolk but if you are from my part of the country it will be worth a visit. Cheers Phil.

I understand that Sutton Hoo are planning to do a living history type event during the summer. Not anglo-Saxon re-enactors but an interpretation of the 1930's archaeologists at work. Might be interesting. I have no idea of dates yet.

Just seen the pictures of the flash flooding in Sedgeford in the local paper - has anyone been in to check on the OVH?

I had the same thought. I've just had an email from Gary who said Kelvin went and checked and everything is OK
